Affiliate Disclosure

Last updated: 28 October 2026

We believe you should always know when a link could earn us money. This page follows the spirit of the US Federal Trade Commission's rules on endorsements, and similar rules elsewhere.

Where we stand today

Slow Chapters does not currently use affiliate links, and nobody pays us to feature a book, an author or a shop in our articles, quiz or chat.

If that changes

In the future we may join affiliate programs with book retailers. If we do:

• A link that may earn us a commission will be marked clearly, for example with "affiliate link" next to it.
• It will cost you nothing extra.
• Our recommendations will not be changed by commissions. We pick books because we think they suit what you asked for.
• We will still suggest checking your local library first.

Gifts and sponsored content

If we are ever given a book or paid to feature something, we will say so on that page.
