Cookie Policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
Short version: Slow Chapters uses no advertising, tracking or analytics cookies. It saves one small item in your browser to remember your cookie choice. This page explains it and how to change it.
1. What cookies and similar storage are
Cookies are small files websites place on your device. Browsers also offer "local storage", which works in a similar way. Both can remember things between visits.
2. What we use
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. We use your browser's local storage for one item, and one login cookie that only our team ever receives. Both are strictly necessary for the site to work as you expect.
Your choice. When you first visit, we show a cookie notice with two buttons, "Accept all" and "Essential only". Today both work the same way, because we use nothing optional. We still save your choice, so that if we add optional tools later, such as analytics, they stay switched off unless you accepted them. You can change your mind at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of every page.
| Name | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|
cookie_consent | Remembers your cookie choice (accept all, or essential only). | Until you clear your browser data, or change it |
site_admin | A login cookie, set only when a member of our team logs in to the private corporate area. Visitors never receive it. | 12 hours, or until log out |
3. Third-party content
Book covers are loaded from Open Library. If you follow a link to another website, that site may use its own cookies. Please read its policy.
4. How to control it
You can delete local storage and cookies in your browser settings, usually under "Privacy" or "Site data". If you do, the site will ask you to choose your cookie settings again.
5. Changes
If we add analytics, advertising or anything else that needs your consent, we will show a clear choice before using it and update this page.
