By using Slow Chapters you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language.

1. What the site is

Slow Chapters offers book suggestions, articles, a quiz and an AI chat BookPal. It is for information and enjoyment only. We do not sell books and we do not deliver anything.

2. Using the site

Please do not:

• break the law or encourage others to;
• try to get around the usage limits, or overload or attack the site;
• use automated tools to copy the site or the chat at scale;
• send harmful, abusive or unlawful content through the chat or forms.

3. The AI chat

The chat uses artificial intelligence. It can make mistakes, including naming a book that does not exist or getting details wrong. Treat answers as friendly ideas and check a book at your library or bookshop before you buy. The chat does not give medical, legal or mental-health advice.

4. Our content

The text, design and original images on this site belong to Slow Chapters or its licensors. You may share links and short quotes with credit. Please do not copy larger parts without asking. Book titles, covers and names belong to their owners.

5. Links and other sites

We may mention books, authors, publishers and shops. They are not connected to us unless we say so. We do not control other websites and are not responsible for them.

6. No guarantees, limits on liability, and use at your own risk

You use the site, and rely on anything on it, entirely at your own risk. The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Slow Chapters and its owners, operators, contributors and service providers are not liable for any loss, damage, injury or cost of any kind, whether direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive, including loss of money, data, profit, health or reputation, that arises from or relates to the site, its content, the AI chat, books you choose, or anything you do or decide because of them, even if we were told it was possible. If a court decides we are liable despite this, our total liability is limited to the smallest amount the law allows, and in any case no more than what you paid us to use the site, which is nothing.

Indemnity. You agree to defend and hold Slow Chapters and its owners, operators and service providers harmless from any claim, loss or cost that arises from your use of the site or your breach of these terms.

If part of these terms does not apply. If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or cannot be enforced where you live, the rest still applies. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

7. Governing law

These terms, and any dispute connected with the site, are governed by the laws that apply where Slow Chapters is operated, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. This site is available worldwide, and you are responsible for following the laws of the place where you are. To the extent the law allows, you agree to bring any claim against us only in the courts of the place where we operate, and only on an individual basis, not as part of a class, group or representative action. Consumer rights that the law of your country gives you and that cannot legally be waived are not affected.
